As a pivotal leader in the Sales Compensation domain, you will spearhead exemplary compensation frameworks and initiatives within the Sales Commissions division to ensure that sales compensation effectively aligns with organizational goals. This position necessitates extensive collaboration with Sales leadership, Commercial teams, Finance, and HR, as well as engagement with diverse stakeholders throughout the organization to guarantee that essential resources are developed, organized, and readily available to the global sales team regarding compensation matters.

Your role will facilitate the evolution of sales commission structures across various positions, establishing transparent engagement protocols and exception handling processes. You will be accountable for crafting, advocating, and executing comprehensive process improvements that enhance operational efficiency while boosting resilience and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee sales compensation analytics for incentive disbursements and budget achievement.
  • Evaluate sales configurations, territories, and budget objectives to formulate commission strategies that propel business success.
  • Lead initiatives such as the annual sales incentive planning cycle, including quota establishment, executive plan presentations, and communication of strategies to Sales leaders and eligible personnel.
  • Ensure effective communication programs are in place to promote transparency, clarity, and motivation within the sales team.
  • Establish essential governance controls in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Authorize the annual commission processing schedule for each cycle, ensuring compliance with payroll deadlines and audit requirements.
  • Oversee monthly commission accruals in alignment with revenue recognition standards and liaise with auditors as necessary.
  • Develop innovative processes and engagement protocols for compensation scenarios and exception management.
  • Assist HR in evaluating job roles, salaries, and incentives to ensure internal fairness, external competitiveness, and compliance with legal pay practices.
  • Mentor and coach team members to cultivate expertise across the team.
  • Execute the enhanced onboarding program for new hires.
SALES COMPENSATION PLAN DESIGN & EXECUTION
  • Guarantee timely and high-quality execution of the overall compensation timeline, including plan evaluations.
  • Collaborate with management to engage with the business throughout the plan development process.
  • Provide analytical insights to identify key performance indicators and plan design.
  • Work alongside management and commercial operations to ensure compensation elements are trackable within existing systems.
  • Design commission frameworks and determine source systems for utilization.
  • Support sales management and Finance through financial modeling and scenario assessments.
  • Create, draft, and finalize compensation plans while ensuring appropriate controls are established.
COMPENSATION CALCULATION & ANALYSIS
  • Lead the collection and verification of performance metrics to conduct compensation analysis.
  • Manage compensation calculation processes, ensuring robust audit trails and validation mechanisms.
  • Establish necessary controls for adjustment management.
  • Incorporate changes in sales personnel, including validation of roles and targets.
  • Oversee tools, forms, and systems essential for compensation calculations.
  • Manage communications to relay results of compensation analyses to the sales and commission processing teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or operational field is required.
  • An MBA or equivalent master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales incentive compensation or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience.
  • Over 5 years of direct management and supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with sales compensation management systems, particularly CaptivateIQ, is essential.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong skills in process management, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Capacity to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Adept at applying comprehensive knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to articulate complex scenarios in a clear and concise manner.
