About the Role

Ares Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Associate Vice President, Compensation and Benefits to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our Compensation Business Advisory Group, you will play a critical role in supporting full-cycle compensation activity, ad-hoc analytics, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Compensation Business Advisory Group to develop and implement a competitive compensation strategy that aligns with the firm's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance Business Partners, and Business Leaders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of market intelligence, compensation trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation grids and ranges, ensuring consistency and equity in compensation decisions.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel on role pricing, compensation market trends, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the year-end compensation process, including budget planning, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, Finance Business Partners, and Business Leaders.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and adherence to Ares' compensation policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of analytical or compensation experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Global compensation experience and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
