Role Overview
Position: Running Companion Volunteer
Location: Maidstone
Commitment: 1-2 hours weekly
Are you passionate about running and have some free time during the week? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support a person we assist in their weekly running sessions. One of our participants has a great love for running and would benefit from a companion to provide motivation and guidance.
Required Attributes- A genuine interest in physical activity
- Kindness, empathy, and patience
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to handle information in accordance with our confidentiality and data protection policies
- Capability to assist with orientation and sighted guidance when needed
Please note that applicants must be over 18 years old to be considered for this position. To express your interest, please click on the 'apply' button below and fill out the application form. After receiving your application, a member of our welcoming Volunteering Team will reach out for an informal discussion regarding the next steps.
To ensure the safety of those we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required before confirming a volunteer role. Additionally, as you will be working directly with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and any role-specific training will be mandatory.
