Companion Volunteer for Person with Sight Loss

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable volunteer to support an individual with sight loss in their daily life. As a Befriender Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping them to maintain their independence and engage in activities they enjoy.
Key Responsibilities- Accompany the individual on outings, such as walks, lunch dates, or visits to local attractions
- Assist with daily tasks, such as shopping or running errands
- Provide emotional support and companionship to help alleviate feelings of loneliness
- Help the individual to develop new skills and interests
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a good sense of humour and be able to engage in conversation
- Be punctual and reliable
- Be kind, empathetic, and patient
- Be able to deal with confidential information
- Opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life
