Role Overview: Companion Volunteer for Community Activities

Location: Maidstone

Time Commitment: Flexible

As a Companion Volunteer for Community Activities, you will significantly enhance the lives of individuals we support in Maidstone by being a dependable friend who joins them in various enjoyable pursuits. These activities may include: Taking leisurely walks Enjoying live music events Watching films at the cinema Shopping excursions Attending social gatherings at pubs and clubs Required Qualities A good sense of humor and a love for conversation Punctuality and reliability Kindness, empathy, and friendliness Ability to handle information in accordance with our confidentiality and data protection policies Capability to assist with orientation and guidance when necessary Please note that applicants must be over the age of 18 to be considered for this position. To express your interest in this role, please complete the application form provided. Following your application, a member of our welcoming Volunteering Team will reach out for an informal discussion regarding the next steps. To ensure the safety of those we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required prior to confirming your volunteer role. Additionally, as you will be working directly with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and any role-specific training will be mandatory. About Our Organization
