Role Overview: Companion Volunteer for Social Activities
Location: Maidstone
Commitment: Flexible Hours
The Companion Volunteer for Social Activities will significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals we assist in Maidstone by serving as a dependable friend to join them in various enjoyable pursuits. These activities may include: Leisurely walks Attending live performances Visiting cinemas Shopping excursions Enjoying nightlife at clubs and pubs Required Attributes A good sense of humor and a passion for conversation Punctuality and reliability Kindness, empathy, and a friendly demeanor Ability to handle information in accordance with our confidentiality and data protection policies Capability to assist with orientation and sighted guidance when needed Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position. After we receive your application, a member of our welcoming Volunteering Team will reach out for an informal discussion and to outline the next steps. To ensure the safety of those we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required before confirming a volunteer position. As you will be working directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also need to complete safeguarding training, along with any role-specific training.
