About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled cook to join our team at SeeAbility. As a cook volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to develop their cooking skills and enjoy nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for our service users
  • Help to develop and implement cooking plans and menus
  • Support individuals to learn new cooking skills and techniques
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and service users

Requirements

  • Passion for cooking and ability to work independently
  • Food hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
