Culinary Support Volunteer
Location: Maidstone
Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week
As a Culinary Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals we assist by fostering their ability to prepare nutritious and delicious meals. Your involvement will help these individuals acquire new culinary skills while guiding them in creating appetizing and flavorful dishes. Additionally, introducing them to diverse cuisines from around the globe will add an exciting twist to their cooking experience.These culinary sessions are scheduled from Monday to Friday at our service location in Maidstone.
Required Skills A genuine enthusiasm for food and proficiency in using kitchen equipment A food hygiene certification is advantageous, but training can be provided if necessary Strong communication skills, along with a friendly and compassionate demeanor Reliability and punctuality are essential Ability to handle information in accordance with our data protection and confidentiality protocolsPlease be aware that applicants must be over the age of 18 to qualify for this position. To ensure the safety of those we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required prior to confirming your volunteer role. Since you will be working directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also need to complete safeguarding training, along with any role-specific training that may be necessary. About Us
