Role Overview

Position: Culinary Support Volunteer

Location: Maidstone

Commitment: At least 2 hours weekly

You will significantly contribute to the well-being of individuals we assist by fostering their ability to prepare nutritious and delicious meals. Your role will involve guiding them in acquiring new culinary skills while encouraging the preparation of diverse and flavorful dishes from various cultures, adding a delightful twist to their cooking experience.

These culinary sessions are scheduled from Monday to Friday at our facility in Maidstone.

Required Skills
  • A genuine enthusiasm for food and proficiency with kitchen tools
  • A food safety certification is advantageous, though training can be provided if necessary
  • Strong communication skills, with a friendly and compassionate demeanor
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
  • Ability to handle information in accordance with our confidentiality and data protection policies

To ensure the safety of those we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required before confirming your volunteer role. As you will be working directly with vulnerable individuals, you will also need to complete safeguarding training and any role-specific training. About Our Organization
