Position Overview

The NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board is seeking a dedicated and adaptable individual to enhance the administrative operations within the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) department. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative assistance to the NHS Continuing Healthcare team, facilitating their efforts to maintain a high standard of patient-centered care. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering proficient clerical support while consistently upholding a client-oriented approach that fosters positive customer relations.
  • Managing the central email communications to ensure timely and appropriate responses, including redirecting inquiries as necessary.
  • Handling incoming telephone inquiries with professionalism, addressing questions from both the public and healthcare professionals.
  • Acting as the initial point of contact for the CHC team, demonstrating tact and professionalism in all communications.
  • Providing non-clinical guidance to the public regarding the CHC services and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to work independently, effectively managing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent data entry and telephone etiquette.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
