About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at Westgate Healthcare. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for identifying residents' activity needs and wishes, and creating a varied programme to meet these needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and observations to understand residents' activity needs and preferences
  • Develop and implement a programme of activities that cater to residents' diverse needs and interests
  • Organize theme and fundraising events, outings, and group activities that promote socialization and engagement
  • Manage monthly activity budgets and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external sources to access community-based resources and services
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted for all activities and outings
  • Document residents' activities and progress in digital notes
  • Create engaging content and update social media pages to showcase residents' experiences

Requirements:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work in a team and possess a caring nature and positive attitude
  • Understanding of Health and Safety protocols
  • Knowledge of emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to engage others in recreational activities
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a care home is desirable but not essential
