We are seeking a compassionate and caring Care Coordinator to join our team at Westgate Healthcare. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for identifying residents' activity needs and wishes, and creating a varied program based on these findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and discussions with residents to understand their activity needs and preferences
- Develop and implement a range of activities and events to meet residents' needs, including group events and individual sessions
- Organize theme and fundraising events, as well as outings and excursions, ensuring safety and staffing requirements are met
- Manage monthly activity budgets and ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings
- Document residents' activities and progress in digital notes
- Take photos and create engaging content for social media
Requirements:
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Ability to work in a team and possess a caring nature and positive attitude
- Understanding of Health and Safety and the emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable people
- Ability to engage others in recreational activities
- Previous experience in a similar role in a care home is desirable but not essential
