About the Position:

As a pivotal role within our organization, the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) domain is increasingly recognized as a fundamental concern for investors, clients, lenders, and various stakeholders in both public and private sectors, both in the UK and internationally. The landscape of corporate sustainability reporting is continuously evolving, with growing expectations for detailed and reliable data, alongside new mandatory reporting obligations on the horizon.

The ESG team at Drax Group is dedicated to ensuring a robust and effective ESG function that supports the newly established Sustainability Framework. This team plays a crucial role in maintaining governance and accountability across the organization, ensuring that ESG disclosures are compliant and aligned with the latest market practices, while also driving substantial ESG performance that supports the broader strategic goals of the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of ESG and the management team in the effective rollout of the Group Sustainability Framework, which is currently undergoing a refresh.
  • Enhance the ESG data management system, including data requests, compilation, and analysis of all ESG metrics.
  • Facilitate the coordination and organization of annual external assurance programs, ensuring that all necessary ESG data is readily available for both internal and external performance tracking and disclosures.
  • Contribute to the effective external communication of ESG initiatives, including gathering content for annual reports and the corporate website, as well as assisting with investor surveys and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to support and enhance direct engagement with investors.

Candidate Profile:

To excel in this position, you should possess a strong interest in ESG and Sustainability. Familiarity with ESG frameworks and disclosure requirements will be highly advantageous.

Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across various business functions.
