International Rights Manager – Children's Publishing (Team Asia)

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a new International Rights Manager to join our dynamic team and represent our exceptional Children's imprints in various Chinese-speaking markets.

Quarto is dedicated to creating inspiring literature for both adults and children, distributed worldwide. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bolstering sales to our established clientele while actively seeking new business ventures.

Working hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We currently implement a flexible hybrid model, with three days in our London office and two days working remotely.

Role Overview

You will be crucial in enhancing sales of our children's collections within the Chinese-speaking markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass designated revenue and profit objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with clients for co-edition, nominated printer, and royalty agreements.
  • Maximize sales with current publishing partners through market visits.
  • Broaden the existing customer base and explore new sales opportunities.
  • Provide sales metrics, forecasts, and trend analyses.

Candidate Profile

We seek sales professionals with exceptional communication and business acumen. You should have a proven history of identifying promising sales opportunities and converting them into confirmed business. A fast-paced environment will suit you, and you must be adaptable to change. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages, particularly Mandarin, is highly desirable.

You should demonstrate the ability to:

  • Establish and nurture excellent customer relationships.
  • Exhibit outstanding numerical and negotiation capabilities.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
