Talent Torch, a thriving Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director of Ecology to enhance our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and management of a prosperous ecology division. Reporting directly to the Director of Ecology, you will play a crucial role in steering the ecology and biodiversity initiatives across the UK.

This position is ideal for a seasoned leader who derives satisfaction from nurturing talent and fostering a positive team environment. You will guide the professional growth of your team, cultivate a supportive culture, and exemplify leadership in project planning and execution. As a representative of the company, you will engage in business development by strengthening existing client partnerships and exploring new opportunities while also focusing on enhancing the team's skill sets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: MCIEEM / CEcol / CEnv.
  • Experience in leadership and management roles.
  • Proven people leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong client management and conflict resolution skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Proficient report writing skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Solid commercial acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
