Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecology Director to join our team. As a key member of our Ecology Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing team-wide strategies and resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and execution of team-wide strategies and resource planning.
  • Work closely with the Ecology Leadership Team to inspire, motivate, and guide a team of dedicated ecologists and ornithologists.
  • Develop and implement operational and scientific best practices for ecological surveys, assessments, and team management.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of ecological consultancy projects, ensuring effective resourcing, timely delivery, and financial performance.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company at industry events and best practice forums.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in managing complex ecological consultancy projects.
  • Deep understanding of UK ecological survey and assessment methods, legislation, and the development planning process.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of English nature conservation legislation and policy.
  • Understanding of the English development management process.
