Salary Range: £50,000-£70,000

Talent Torch, a thriving and innovative Environmental Consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director of Ecology to enhance our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the growth and management of a successful ecology division, reporting directly to the Director of Ecology who leads our biodiversity initiatives across the UK.

This position is ideal for a natural leader who derives satisfaction from nurturing team success. You will guide the professional development of your team, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and exemplify leadership in project planning and execution. As a representative of the company, you will engage in business development by strengthening existing client relationships and exploring new opportunities while also focusing on enhancing the team's core skills.

  • Fostering personal and team development.

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Managing client expectations and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Providing technical insights for projects and proposals while identifying new client opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: MCIEEM / CEcol / CEnv.
  • Experience in leadership and management roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in client management and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent project management abilities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong report writing skills with the capacity to provide constructive feedback.
  • Solid commercial acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
