Talent Torch, a prominent and expanding Environmental Consultancy firm, is seeking a Principal Director of Ecology to enhance our operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and management of a thriving ecology division. Reporting directly to the Director of Ecology, you will play a crucial role in steering the ecology and biodiversity initiatives across the organization.

This position is ideal for an individual who excels in leadership and team management, deriving fulfillment from fostering the growth of their team members. You will guide the professional journeys of your team, cultivate a positive workplace culture, and exemplify leadership in project planning and execution. Additionally, you will act as a representative of the company, engaging in business development by nurturing existing client relationships and exploring new opportunities for growth while enhancing the team's core skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fostering personal and team development.
  • Building and leading a successful ecology and biodiversity unit in your region.
  • Exhibiting effective management skills and the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: MCIEEM / CEcol / CEnv.
  • Experience in leadership and management roles is preferred.
  • Proven people leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Strong client management skills, including the capacity to present at senior levels.
  • Excellent project management capabilities with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback on colleagues' work.
  • Robust commercial acumen.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
