Housing Support and Prevention Specialist

We are collaborating with a Local Authority in the Catford area to recruit a Housing Support and Prevention Specialist to join the Homelessness Services Team.

Role Overview:

  • Deliver a thorough and high-quality support and advisory service for individuals and families facing homelessness or at risk of losing their homes.
  • Conduct assessments for clients approaching the Council to determine the responsibilities owed to them and explore alternative housing solutions.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of homelessness laws and regulations, combined with practical experience in preventing homelessness and making informed statutory decisions.
  • Enhance specialized knowledge and skills to provide a flexible and responsive housing needs service that adapts to evolving demands and client pressures.
  • Maintain up-to-date, clear, and precise casework and data records, and report on performance metrics as necessary.

Contract Duration: 6 months with potential for extension to an ongoing role.

Compensation: £21+ per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Location: SE6.
