Job Title: Homeless Housing Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homeless Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Crossways Supported Housing Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and supervision to our clients, helping them to manage their tenancies and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key worker to clients at the project, managing a caseload and providing regular support and supervision.
  • Conduct risk assessments and complete comprehensive SMART support plans to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.
  • Use industry-standard tools and techniques to support clients in managing their tenancies and achieving their goals.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance, and advice to clients, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve stability in their lives.
  • Assist clients in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities, and provide support in developing their life skills and confidence.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting our clients.
  • Monitor clients' behavior and risk to prevent relapse and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Take responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty, responding to emergencies and providing guidance and support to staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting vulnerable adults, homeless people, and individuals with substance misuse, alcohol misuse, and mental health and physical health problems.
  • A full driving license and use of a vehicle is essential.
  • Experience of working within a health or social care setting for at least 3 years, dealing with rehabilitation of ex-offenders, mental health, rough sleepers, and drug and alcohol clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
