About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Homeless Housing Coordinator to join our team at Enfield Council. As a key member of our homelessness reduction team, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and customer service to homeless applicants and key partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage casework in line with legislative requirements and homelessness strategies
  • Provide expert advice and customer service to homeless applicants and key partners
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance outcomes for the homeless
  • Engage in continuous professional development and cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Undertake assessments, create Personal Housing Plans, and manage associated risks through multi-agency collaboration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expert knowledge of welfare, homelessness reduction act, housing policies, and related case law and legislation
  • Strong understanding of courts, possession orders, and evictions
  • Specialist knowledge in homelessness decision-making and safeguarding practices for vulnerable adults and children
  • Experience in providing specialist homelessness casework, especially for those with complex needs
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively with partners
