Job Overview

The Theatres Inventory Management Operative will collaborate across various hospital theatres within the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, providing essential support to the Theatres Inventory Coordinator.

This role entails effective communication with multiple departments and external partners to ensure that sterile supplies, equipment, and other necessary items for theatre operations are accurately ordered and delivered, thereby facilitating the efficient execution of surgical schedules in conjunction with the Theatres Inventory Coordinator.

  • Executing ad-hoc orders as necessary.
  • Assisting in the management of surgical instruments, including those needing repair.
  • Processing incoming orders.
  • Coordinating the requirements for loan kits.
  • Collaborating closely with theatre teams to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Engaging in cross-site operations as required.
