The Theatres Inventory Management Specialist will work across Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust theatres on a planned basis supporting the work of the Theatres Inventory Management Coordinator.
They will be responsible for communicating with other departments and companies to ensure that sterile supplies, stores, and any other equipment required for theatre are ordered and received into the theatre department, thus assisting in the smooth running of operating lists, in liaison with the Theatres Inventory Management Coordinator.
The Theatres Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for data input and will also undertake general office work.
They will also be supporting and assisting with the provision of the Inventory Management program with responsibilities related to the deployment, administration, and support of the Trust's elected Electronic Inventory Management system.
This role involves cross-site working with the potential of 7-day working. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
Main Responsibilities- Management of stock within Theatres, including ordering using barcoding technology to agreed top-up levels, in addition to putting away of stock.
- Ad-hoc ordering as required.
- Supporting the management of instruments within Theatres, including those requiring repair.
- Receipting of orders.
- Arrangement of loan kit requirements.
- Cross-site working as required.
Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is an integrated care organisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff.
