Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated and proactive Theatre Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to the clinical teams and theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inquiries and communications related to theatre operations and departmental functions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support theatre activities.
  • Ensure safe stock levels of consumables in theatres, including inventory management and rotation.
  • Oversee the ordering and procurement of medications for clinical departments.
  • Facilitate the procurement of necessary supplies for all clinical areas.
  • Serve as the primary contact for theatre-related matters.
  • Obtain accurate quotations in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain relevant databases for operational efficiency.
  • Prepare patient documentation as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with consultants and their administrative staff.
  • Foster effective communication between hospital departments and external organizations as required.
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of Ramsay Health Care's objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department heads and senior management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English and Mathematics is essential for this role.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
  • Competent in using PC applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels (face-to-face, telephone, and written).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Capable of organizing workload and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
