Position Overview

The primary focus of this role is to cultivate and manage strategic relationships at a senior level within Health accounts, particularly within the NHS. This position is essential for driving sales in the Health market, specifically targeting Screening market and DESP type contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Commissioners, Senior Executives, and CEOs to develop and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Identify and generate opportunities for new product sales, service enhancements, and solution development within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and partners to effectively sell third-party products, ensuring strong relationships to benefit NEC.
  • Achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall revenue goals.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities that align with revenue targets for your territory.
  • Develop strategic opportunities and bids within your accounts.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met both before and after sales.
  • Foster long-term relationships with assigned clients at a strategic and influential level.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to successful completion.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure commitments are fulfilled.
  • Adhere to corporate policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture that enhances NEC's overall performance.
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Engage in training sessions as directed by your line manager.
  • Become an integral member of the team through effective work practices and personal development.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-sales, bid, and project procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality bids in collaboration with the bid team and pre-sales resources.
  • Assist in resolving debts as requested by the Sales Director/Manager.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure balanced sales and service revenues align with sales targets.
  • Meet sales activity KPIs established during performance reviews.
  • Stay informed about changes within your accounts.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in IT sales.
  • Background in sales and business development within the Health sector.
  • Experience engaging with senior management teams and decision-makers.
  • Proven track record in selling Health solutions, particularly in contracts involving TUPE or screening.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the IS/IT services industry.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, comfortable interacting with senior management both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a variety of influencing techniques to facilitate deal closure.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships with key decision-makers in the Health market.
  • Proactive in taking the initiative to advance opportunities and achieve targets.
  • Capability to understand and define requirements, collaborating with colleagues to translate these into portfolio solutions.
  • Efficiently evaluate sales options and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to convert prospects into sales orders.
  • Ability to strategically develop Health client accounts.
