Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled HR Compensation Analyst to support our global investment banking client. This role is essential in enhancing our talent management strategy, focusing on attracting, retaining, and motivating our workforce.

Contract Type: 12 Months Maternity Cover
Location: London
Pay Rate: Up to £275 per day PAYE including holidays (Dependent on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive support for annual compensation planning, reporting, and administration within the Corporate and Firmwide Functions team.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare presentations to assist senior management in making informed compensation decisions.
  • Advise HR partners and business leaders on compensation policies and practices.
  • Engage in compensation surveys and perform independent analysis of benchmarking data to address compensation requirements.
  • Review and approve new hire offers, ensuring external competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects related to compensation across the EMEA region, including gender pay analyses and compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with compensation partners to develop and enhance compensation modeling tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant experience in Compensation, Finance, or a related field, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient data management skills with a solid understanding of organizational structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including mastery of Pivot Tables, IF statements, and XLOOKUPs; familiarity with VBA is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment while fostering strong partnerships.
  • Proven consulting skills with the ability to align business objectives with Human Resource/Compensation strategies and creatively address challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools, such as SAP Business Objects.
  • A strong intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
