Position Overview

The Sales Account Manager will play a pivotal role in cultivating strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders within the Health sector, particularly focusing on NHS accounts. This position is essential for driving sales initiatives in the Health market, specifically targeting Screening market and DESP type contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with existing clients while developing connections with Commissioners, Senior Management, and CEOs.
  • Identify and create opportunities for new product sales, service enhancements, and solution development within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and partners to integrate third-party products into the client portfolio, ensuring strong relationships that benefit NEC.
  • Meet and exceed personal sales targets while maintaining a robust CRM system for account management.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to achieve targeted revenue and contribute to overall team objectives.
  • Develop strategic bids and opportunities within your accounts.
  • Engage with clients to ensure their expectations are met throughout the sales process.
  • Foster long-term relationships with assigned clients at a strategic level.
  • Oversee project tracking to ensure successful completion.
  • Manage customer expectations to ensure delivery of commitments.
  • Adhere to corporate policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture that enhances NEC's performance.
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Attend training sessions as directed by your line manager.
  • Become an integral part of the team through effective work practices and personal development.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-sales, bid, and project procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality bids in collaboration with the bid team and pre-sales resources.
  • Assist in resolving debts as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Achieve balanced sales and service revenues in line with established targets.
  • Monitor changes within assigned accounts.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in IT sales.
  • Proven track record in business development within the Health sector.
  • Experience engaging with senior management teams and decision-makers.
  • Background in selling Health solutions, particularly with TUPE or screening contracts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the IS/IT services industry.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, comfortable interacting with senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, utilizing various influencing techniques to close deals effectively.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships with key decision-makers in the Health market.
  • Proactive approach to driving opportunities forward to meet targets.
  • Capability to understand and define client requirements and collaborate with colleagues to develop solutions.
  • Efficiently evaluate sales options and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to convert prospects into clients and finalize sales orders.
  • Expertise in strategically developing Health client accounts.
