Job Overview

The Client Onboarding & Documentation (CO&D) division is in search of a highly skilled Vice President to join the EMEA team as part of the CO&D Global Controls Group. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives on addressing intricate challenges and delivering innovative solutions.

As a Control Manager specializing in Issue Management & Advisory - Vice President within the CO&D team, you will report directly to the Issue Management and Advisory team leader. Your contributions will be vital to the daily functions of the team, which is dedicated to maintaining a robust control framework for Wholesale Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations and Digital Document Services (DDS) through the proactive identification and prompt resolution of risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with management and business units to assess emerging risks and the necessary controls to mitigate operational threats.
  • Engage with senior management across EMEA, including Operations and GFCC teams.
  • Oversee a portfolio of issue management and advisory from a control perspective.
  • Utilize data analysis and tools for root cause investigations of operational errors and control failures to establish a systematic methodology.
  • Work alongside Operations to ensure the sustainable execution of operational modifications; provide guidance and advisory on the risks and essential controls required for large-scale change initiatives, including Business Integrations.
  • Guide the team in employing a data-driven approach for business analysis, issue dimensions, and change testing as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization, including business units, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology control functions to promote consistent and rigorous operational risk practices.
  • Represent the team in various governance meetings while interfacing with senior management and managing directors.
  • Foster a proactive risk and control culture that leverages established evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
  • Advise on and continuously evaluate key risks and the adequacy of controls to ensure timely identification of significant risks and issues in response to an evolving business and regulatory landscape.
  • Ensure operational practices adhere to relevant risk standards, policies, and regulations to maintain an effective control environment.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Extensive experience in Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer (AML/KYC).
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a commitment to driving change and leading a digital agenda to formulate strategies and solutions for problem-solving, analytical thinking, and team development.
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and capable of executing in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to cultivate a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk identification and assessment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in Compliance, Audit, Risk, or Operations.
