About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Operational Risk Management Lead to join our Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) team within Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk Technology & Cybersecurity (CCCOR T&C). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in evaluating and identifying control design and/or execution deficiencies of the first line's GRC team's delivery of risk & controls framework, control integration & assessment, risk treatment & analytics, and governance and reporting practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Governance Practices: Evaluate the governance practices pertaining to the development, adherence, and maintenance of technology policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Evaluate Global Technology Framework: Ensure that Global Technology's framework is aligned with sustainable industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and threat-informed risk and controls.
  • Challenge First Line Control Implementation: Challenge the first line's control implementation and execution to ensure that it is effective and efficient.
  • Identify Thematic Risk: Identify thematic risk based on key risk indicators and key performance indicator metric performance.
  • Assess Prioritization and Treatment of Control Findings: Assess the prioritization and treatment of control findings for Global Technology, along with action-oriented reporting to support operational risk decisions.
  • Execute Monitoring and Testing Activities: Execute monitoring and testing activities to detect operational risks introduced throughout the technology lifecycle.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Technology Risk Management and Controls Governance: 5+ years of experience in technology risk management and controls governance is required.
  • Knowledge of Industry Frameworks: Knowledge of industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, FFIEC, FSP, and Heightened Standards is required.
  • Familiarity with Laws and Regulations: Familiarity with laws and regulations related to tech & cyber, including privacy and outsourcing, is required.
  • Experience in Providing Independent Review and Challenge: Experience in providing independent review and challenge of first line of defense technology and cybersecurity assessments and controls is required.
  • Strong Written, Verbal, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to Successfully Communicate and Influence Management: Ability to successfully communicate and influence management on all levels is required.
  • Ability to Work Independently or with Limited Instruction: Ability to work independently or with limited instruction is required.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in MS Office Applications: Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience with Modern Technologies: Experience with modern technologies such as public and private cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, and CISSP are a plus.
