As the Lead for Technology Operational Risk Management within the Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) team in Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk Technology & Cybersecurity (CCCOR T&C), you will assess and identify deficiencies in control design and execution related to the first line's GRC team's delivery of risk and controls framework, control integration and assessment, risk treatment and analytics, as well as governance and reporting practices. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, and cultivate credible relationships across technology and control organizations.

CCOR T&C operates within the Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization, overseeing the design and management of the second line of defense independent risk management program for technology and cybersecurity risks, utilizing the Operational Risk Framework, regulatory guidance (e.g., FFIEC, Heightened Standards), and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate governance practices related to the formulation, adherence, and maintenance of technology policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assess Global Technology's framework to ensure alignment with sustainable industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and threat-informed risk and controls.
  • Critically review the implementation and execution of first line controls.
  • Identify thematic risks based on key risk indicators and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate the prioritization and management of control findings for Global Technology, providing actionable reporting to support operational risk decisions.
  • Conduct monitoring and testing activities to identify operational risks throughout the technology lifecycle.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk management and governance of controls.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, FFIEC, FSP, and Heightened Standards.
  • Understanding of laws and regulations concerning technology and cybersecurity, including privacy and outsourcing.
  • Experience in providing independent assessments and challenges to first line technology and cybersecurity evaluations and controls.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to effectively communicate and influence management at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously or with minimal guidance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience with contemporary technologies such as public and private cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, and CISSP are preferred.
