J.P. Morgan is looking for a skilled Associate to deliver advanced Testing Analysis within the Payments Technology sector. This role operates in a collaborative, cross-functional project environment, with the flexibility to apply testing expertise across various lines of business (LOBs) and support transformative global initiatives within Test Integration and Implementation (TII) Services. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in the strategic deployment of an automated testing framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide precise testing estimates during daily scrum meetings.
  • Document and execute test scenarios, identifying specific cases and crafting test scripts using Business Driven Development methodologies, such as Gherkin.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Product, and Technology teams.
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of testing defects and manage the re-testing process.
  • Act as a deputy for the Test Manager in project discussions and communications with relevant stakeholders.
  • Validate and present test results for internal approval.
  • Work independently on daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to effectively manage critical testing activities within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Agile project delivery methodologies and adapt to evolving practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Payments and experience in testing processes to define requirements, document user stories, and develop test scripts through to execution.
  • Experience with test automation tools to facilitate efficient end-to-end test execution; prior experience in automated testing is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining tools such as Cucumber/Gherkin, Java, Selenium, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently on daily tasks.
  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage critical testing tasks accurately and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and quickly learn new processes for effective remediation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to prevent errors and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Capability to maintain a strategic perspective while identifying areas for process enhancement and formulating actionable recommendations.
  • Effective use of data-driven reporting to support program oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to provide clear and concise updates to team members, colleagues, senior leaders, and clients.
  • Ability to liaise effectively across business lines with empathy to achieve common strategic goals.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience with Business Driven Development/Test Driven Development methodologies or test case automation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cucumber/Gherkin, Java, Selenium, or similar.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to streamline and enhance testing processes for assigned projects and share insights with team members prior to implementation.
  • Testing experience within the Financial Services sector, supporting multiple LOBs in a complex, high-pressure environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft applications, particularly PowerPoint, to create professional presentations with minimal oversight.
