As a Technology Operational Risk Management Lead within the Governance, Risk and Controls (GRC) team of Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk Technology & Cybersecurity (CCCOR T&C), your responsibilities will include evaluating and identifying deficiencies in control design and execution related to the first line's GRC team's risk and controls framework, control integration and assessment, risk treatment and analytics, as well as governance and reporting practices. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management, and foster credible relationships across technology and control organizations.
CCOR T&C operates within the Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization, overseeing the independent risk management program for technology and cybersecurity risks, guided by the Operational Risk Framework, regulatory standards (e.g., FFIEC, Heightened Standards), and applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate governance practices related to the formulation, adherence, and maintenance of technology policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assess Global Technology's framework to ensure alignment with sustainable industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and threat-informed risk and controls.
- Critique the implementation and execution of first line controls.
- Identify thematic risks based on key risk indicators and performance metrics.
- Evaluate the prioritization and treatment of control findings for Global Technology, providing actionable reporting to inform operational risk decisions.
- Conduct monitoring and testing activities to uncover operational risks throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in technology risk management and governance of controls.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, FFIEC, FSP, and Heightened Standards.
- Understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to technology and cybersecurity, including privacy and outsourcing.
- Experience in providing independent assessments and critiques of first line technology and cybersecurity evaluations and controls.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence management at all levels.
- Capacity to work autonomously or with minimal guidance.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with contemporary technologies such as public and private cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) is advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, and CISSP are preferred.
