Job Overview

As a key member of the Human Resources (HR) Control Management division, you will lead the ongoing development of risk and control initiatives that align with the strategic objectives of the HR function and the organization as a whole.

In your role as a Control Programs Manager - Associate within the HR Control Management Team, you will take charge of executing programs and processes that are underpinned by a robust change management strategy, while effectively collaborating with HR partners to deliver maximum value. Your responsibilities will include close cooperation with various control functions such as Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit to oversee the comprehensive HR Risk Profile, and to identify, escalate, monitor, and evaluate operational risks in line with the firm’s operational risk frameworks and reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution and ownership of Control Programs within HR, collaborating with essential stakeholders to ensure alignment with HR Control Management and HR Products' objectives.
  • Establish a streamlined, efficient, and well-structured Control Management process and program framework that can be utilized by the HR Control Management Team across the organization; keep Control Managers informed about updates to process Standards & Procedures.
  • Create effective engagement strategies (such as Learning Sessions, Workshops, etc.) for the development and modification of control programs to enhance efficiency and minimize disruption.
  • Collaborate with firm-wide control teams to ensure compliance with control program and process requirements, supporting the business in executing firm-wide Control Initiatives to maintain adherence to Policy, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Maintain and communicate updates regarding tools utilized for managing control programs, ensuring alignment with minimum control standards.
  • Engage with HR and control colleagues across various functions including business, legal, compliance, risk, audit, and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive reporting and analytics to track progress, communicate status to executives, and evaluate team effectiveness in achieving Control Management objectives.
  • Create impactful presentations and program updates for stakeholders and business partners, effectively communicating program progress and recommendations.
  • Oversee programs such as Compliance & Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE), Qualitative Operational Risk Assessment (QORA), and others, ensuring thorough management of operational risks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential.
  • Experience in financial services related to controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate risk from various perspectives (Legal, Regulatory, Operational, Client & Reputational) and engage in meaningful business discussions.
  • Strong project management capabilities and execution of strategic plans.
  • Excellent organizational, change management, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities swiftly.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and colleagues to achieve project objectives.
  • Capability to identify and suggest process improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PitchPro.
  • Able to thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project management within complex organizations and control environments.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Products, Policies & Procedures.
  • Experience with intelligent solutions and automation tools.
