Job Overview

Objective

The Area Sales Manager is tasked with overseeing a designated portfolio of clients within their respective territory. This role involves executing the sales strategy to meet client needs and enhance Renishaw's market presence in the region. The Area Sales Manager collaborates closely with the Technical Team throughout the sales cycle, including post-sale support, to thoroughly understand and address customer requirements through compelling economic and technical value propositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the Industrial Metrology Division.
  • Expanding business through partnerships with channel distributors.
  • Consulting on process optimization and executing critical projects with clients to achieve sales and growth goals.
  • Delivering engaging technical sales presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on new business prospects while offering tailored commercial and technical solutions to meet client needs effectively.
  • Maintaining an organized pipeline of qualified inquiries in the CRM to ensure sufficient quoted business to surpass revenue targets.
  • Participating in sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events within the assigned territory.
  • Traveling to potential and existing clients within the designated sales area to showcase company offerings and enhance brand recognition.
  • Utilizing various communication methods, including outbound calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Building and nurturing long-term relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in solution-based sales with comprehensive knowledge of the sales process.
  • Background in engineering products within B2B markets, preferably in industrial metrology, automation, aeronautics, electronics, or similar fields.
  • Strong business acumen and project management capabilities.
  • Possession of a valid passport and driving license to facilitate regular travel.
  • Proficient in IT tools (ERP, MS Office).
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time for exhibitions and key accounts.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is a plus.
