About the Role

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality mental health assessments and delivering short-term interventions to young people in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct High-Quality Assessments: Utilize your expertise to conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop effective clinical formulations.
  • Respond to Crisis Calls: Provide timely and compassionate support to young people and their families in crisis situations.
  • Lead Shifts and Supervise Clinicians: Demonstrate leadership skills by leading shifts and supervising other clinicians to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain Accurate Clinical Records: Ensure that all clinical records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field and a core profession (e.g., nursing, psychology).
  • Experience in Mental Health: Proven experience in mental health and complex needs, with skills in mental health assessments and formulation.
  • Full UK Driving License: A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle is required.
  • Supervisory Experience: The ability and experience to supervise shifts is essential.
