About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health assessments and interventions to young people in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective care plans for young people in crisis.
  • Provide short-term interventions and follow-up support to young people and their families.
  • Lead shifts and supervise other clinicians, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Maintain and develop key relationships with professionals, patients, and families.
  • Ensure accurate clinical record-keeping and contribute to the development of clinical governance.

Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (or equivalent) with significant post-qualifying experience in mental health settings.
  • Experience of working with young people in crisis and developing care plans.
  • Ability to lead shifts and supervise other clinicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent IT skills and ability to navigate various systems and software packages.
