About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS Rapid Response team in Slough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health assessments and short-term interventions to young people experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial crisis assessments for young people who have presented in crisis.
  2. Offer short-term intervention to stabilize the crisis, including follow-up appointments and multi-agency consultation-liaison.
  3. Identify ongoing care plan needs for young people and their families, ensuring they are referred to appropriate services.
  4. Maintain and develop key relationships with professionals external to the area of service, as well as patients and their families.
  5. Be responsible for the accurate maintenance of clinical record keeping and ensuring all systems, records, and data are stored and transferred correctly.

Requirements

  1. A degree in a relevant field, as well as a core profession (e.g., Social Worker, Nurse, OT).
  2. Experience in working with mental health and complex needs.
  3. Demonstrable skills in mental health assessments and formulation.
  4. A full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
