POSITION SUMMARY

Join our dynamic team at NOV Process and Flow Control, where you will play a pivotal role in our Machine Shop. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your primary focus will be on the programming and operation of CNC machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce components in accordance with the standards and procedures established by NOV and our clients.
  • Promptly report any defects in materials, components, or equipment to the Production Manager, adhering to company protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager on any customer-related, project, or operational issues that may arise.
  • Identify and report any Environmental and Health & Safety concerns.
  • Provide training and mentorship to apprentices.
  • Ensure that all relevant technical drawings, procedures, and instructions are up-to-date before commencing work.
  • Verify that all gauges and measurement procedures are accurate and current prior to use.
  • Assist Project Engineers in selecting appropriate tooling and capital equipment.
  • Engage in Environmental and Health & Safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of risk assessments as necessary.
  • Participate in proposing and implementing new machining techniques or equipment to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Maintain compliance with all HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Support other departments and perform additional duties as required by the Line Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience with CNC machinery.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience with Premium Threading.
  • Ability to interpret and understand Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC or Manual machines.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Proficient in the use of CNC Machine Tools.
  • Experienced in programming CNC Machine Tools.
  • Capable of utilizing Inspection equipment and specialized premium thread gauges.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various manufacturing methods.
  • Strong skills in planning machining processes.
  • Ability to effectively use lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge of Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
  • Competent understanding of:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Engineering terminology
    • Machine Tool Tooling
