NOV Inc. is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in our Machine Shop at NOV Process and Flow Control.

Job Summary

We are looking for a CNC Machinist with expertise in programming and operating CNC Machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing components to meet NOV and customer standards, collaborating with the Production Manager on customer and project issues, and ensuring the accuracy and currency of all gauges and gauge procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Operations
    • Manufacture components following NOV and customer standards and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Report any defects in materials, components, or equipment to the Production Manager.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with the Production Manager on customer, project, or other arising issues.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment
    • Alert and report any Environmental and Health & Safety concerns.
  • Training and Development
    • Conduct training for apprentices.
  • Process Improvement
    • Support the proposal and implementation of new machining techniques/machines to enhance productivity or safety.
  • Adherence to Policies
    • Adhere to all HSE Legislation and Company Policy on HSE.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience working on CNC Machines.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Proficiency in using CNC Machine Tools.
    • Proficient in CNC Machine Tools programming.
    • Competence in utilizing Inspection equipment and premium thread gauges.
    • Comprehensive understanding of various manufacturing methods.
    • Skills in planning machining methods effectively.
    • Ability to operate lifting equipment efficiently.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Environment and Health & Safety protocols.
    • Solid comprehension of: Engineering drawings, Engineering terminologies, Machine Tool Tooling.
