**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at NOV Inc. as a Precision Manufacturing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture components to meet strict quality and production standards.
- Ensure all defects are reported and addressed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with production managers to resolve customer, project, or equipment issues.
- Report environmental and health & safety concerns.
- Train apprentices and ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Verify that all relevant drawings, procedures, and instructions are up-to-date and accurate.
- Ensure that all gauges and gauge procedures are correct and current.
- Aid project engineers in selecting tooling and capital equipment.
- Participate in environmental and health & safety initiatives.
- Aid in creating risk assessments and proposing new machining techniques to improve productivity and safety.
- Ensure personal compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation and company policies.
- Support other departments and perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent work experience on CNC machines.
- Experience with premium threading.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Practical experience on CNC or manual machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Use of CNC machine tools.
- Programming of CNC machine tools.
- Ability to use inspection equipment and specialized premium thread gauges.
- Full understanding of various methods of manufacture.
- Skills in planning methods of machining.
- Ability to use lifting equipment effectively.
- Understanding of environmental and health & safety.
- Competent level of understanding in engineering drawings, engineering terminologies, and machine tool tooling.
