Experience and Qualifications
- Experience Required: 0 to 1 year
- Desired Background: Familiarity with retail grocery settings or prior experience in law enforcement or security
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Travel: Regional travel required, typically less than 10%
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and apprehend individuals attempting to steal merchandise using standard observation techniques and surveillance technology.
- Utilize video surveillance systems to document incidents as requested by law enforcement and internal teams.
- Diagnose and report issues with surveillance equipment, providing solutions as necessary.
- Offer testimony in legal proceedings when required by law enforcement or judicial representatives.
- Alert the designated loss prevention officer about any potential internal security concerns.
- Engage with customers and law enforcement personnel in a professional manner.
- Carry out additional security and loss prevention tasks to uphold a secure atmosphere for both customers and team members.
- Prioritize safety for all team members, customers, and products at all times.
