Sales Engineering Specialist

The Sales Engineering Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Repair division, serving as the primary interface with our clients. Establishing strong and reliable relationships with customers is fundamental to this position. Concentrating on the Pressure Control segment of the UK repair operations, you will oversee all client inquiries, manage customer accounts, and collaborate with the Technical Planning Department and Program Group to fulfill customer expectations and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with clients to understand their needs and formulate quotations based on the technical solutions provided by our Repair division.
- Collaborating closely with clients and the sales team to explore new opportunities and initiatives.
- Coordinating orders that involve multiple pieces of equipment for repair related to the same client or during rig downtime.
- Serving as the primary contact for the assigned client/customer, fostering a strong working relationship to ensure NOV is their preferred choice for repair services.
- Working in tandem with the Technical Planner to prepare Cost Proposals and quotations that align with customer needs.
- Reviewing purchase orders upon receipt, completing the contract review process, and generating a repair work scope and quality plan.
- HNC or higher in relevant technical or business disciplines or equivalent experience.
- Practical knowledge of technical support within the oil and gas sector.
- Familiarity with pressure control or drilling equipment repair processes.
