Job Responsibilities:

Familiarize yourself with the vessel's construction, machinery, and operational characteristics Conduct necessary checks prior to departure, ensuring the vessel is fully prepared for the voyage, considering stability, stress, trim, and watertight integrity, and confirming adequate fuel reserves Report any deficiencies to the Master and Maintenance Superintendent Perform regular inspections of machinery and engine spaces to maintain awareness of equipment condition and operational capability Manage the transfer of fuel, lubricants, and fresh water Ensure all planned maintenance and both routine and emergency repairs are executed Collaborate with the Maintenance Superintendent to plan work for minimal disruption to the vessel's overall schedule and to maximize reliability and availability of equipment Implement measures to prevent environmental pollution Maintain accurate engine room records as required by the Company and relevant authorities Provide and receive detailed handovers when joining or leaving the vessel Be knowledgeable about Company and Shipboard regulations to perform functions efficiently and safely Be familiar with all safety equipment onboard and participate in safety drills and training to ensure optimal operational standards Perform any additional duties as reasonably requested by the Master Execute duties of GP Rating and RIB Coxswain

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

ENG 1 certification Sea Survival Course completion Basic Fire Fighting training

Desirable:

For ATV AEC 1 & 2 certifications For RSC AEC 1 certification Knowledge of technical operations of designated equipment Basic understanding of operational processes Proficient command of English (written and spoken) Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety regulations Basic ICT Office and fleet management skills Formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Elementary First Aid certification RYA Powerboat Level 2 certification Mandatory NINA training

Additional Requirements:

3 years of residency in the UK Valid driving license Current passport
