Job Summary:

R S D TECHNOLOGY LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspector to join our team. As a Product Loss Assurance and Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate measurement and inspection of crude oil and petroleum products during transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and investigate excessive product losses during transportation.
  • Ensure that API guidelines and company inspection procedures are followed, with thorough documentation of events.
  • Encourage uniform marine petroleum cargo measurement and inspection practices among inspection companies and their inspectors.
  • Evaluate the performance of inspection companies and their inspectors, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Communicate with vessel officers and shore representatives to determine additional gauging or testing requirements.
  • Reduce ROB volumes by implementing crude oil washing and stripping at discharge ports.
  • Verify and confirm all volumes with independent inspectors.

Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge of transportation, including testing, inspection procedures, and marine operations related to oil transfer.
  • Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of industry safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
  • Excellent customer service skills, providing thorough, efficient, and effective service to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.
