Position Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of crude oil and petroleum product movements by executing various oversight functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detects and reports instances of significant product loss.
- Promotes standardized marine cargo measurement and inspection protocols, ensuring adherence to API standards and comprehensive documentation of all processes.
- Fosters a positive image of the company's dedication to environmental stewardship, public safety, and efficient profit management.
- Ensures the utilization of appropriate equipment and measuring instruments.
- Completes field documentation that accurately reflects activities associated with attended movements.
- Assesses the performance of inspection firms and their personnel.
- Engages with vessel crew and shore personnel to ascertain the necessity for additional gauging or testing.
- Minimizes remaining onboard (ROB) volumes through effective crude oil washing and stripping at discharge locations.
- Confirms and validates all volume measurements with independent inspectors.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, as necessary.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth technical understanding of transportation, including testing, inspection protocols, and marine operations related to oil transfer.
- Ability to interpret company policies, regulatory standards, and other relevant documentation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety regulations.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information and communications.
- Expertise in delivering thorough and effective customer service across all organizational levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, including urgent and long-term assignments.
- Collaborative mindset to tackle challenging tasks with others.
- Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing assignments to ensure timely completion.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
