SAP/ERP Solutions Architect - Permanent Position

TEKsystems is actively seeking a skilled SAP/ERP Solutions Architect to lead a significant Finance Transformation initiative as part of a comprehensive digital overhaul for a prominent Global Services client.

Role Overview:

Our esteemed client, a leader in the market, is in search of a proficient SAP/ERP Solutions Architect.

The selected candidate will take charge of the effective, consistent, and repeatable deployment of SAP/ERP solutions that align with the requirements of business stakeholders.


• Overseeing the entire solution architecture lifecycle, collaborating closely with Business, Enterprise, and Business architecture, product management, and analysis during the initial phases of the project.


• Engaging in efforts to standardize the Solution Architecture outputs and actively participating in the Innovation & Technology Solution Design Review to offer design insights, timely value-adding assessments, and governance focused on progress (ensuring that tactical technical debt is acknowledged and addressed in any business case).


• Contributing to the establishment of solution and enterprise architecture principles, policies, standards, and patterns. Ensuring that technology solutions adhere to the agreed-upon standards or that exceptions are documented for future replacement when risk tolerance permits.


• Acting as a champion for Innovation & Technology, collaborating with business colleagues to comprehend business needs and articulate solution designs that fulfill those needs while adhering to the Enterprise Architecture.


• Working alongside colleagues to maintain architectural perspectives for Enterprise planning and exploration.


• Converting Enterprise Architecture deliverables such as Architecture Vision and Business Requirements into comprehensive High- and Low-Level solution designs.


• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership and ensuring the successful delivery of individual solution architecture projects.


• Prioritizing tasks and deliverables by producing outputs at the appropriate level and timing.

Collaborating with selected partners during the design and execution of business technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:


• Leading the delivery of SAP/ERP architecture for multiple concurrent business initiatives.


• Contributing to the standardization of the solution architecture capability, including documentation, principles, policies, standards, and methodologies.


• Demonstrating the ability to operate within an agile environment, accommodating iterative architectural changes.


• Making informed decisions regarding the architectural patterns most suitable for various projects.


• Collaborating closely and positively with stakeholders and other Group functions to ensure architecture reuse and adherence to best practices.


• Guiding and supporting fellow architects during periods of significant transformation.


• Effectively communicating within the team and with stakeholders.


• Documenting and securing stakeholder agreement on decisions, including buy vs. build choices and early-phase project estimates that contribute to business cases.


• Escalating architectural design challenges to stakeholders concerning potential alternative solutions.


• Innovating and inspiring by presenting technological opportunities to address business challenges, initiating proof of concept activities to assess fit.


• Staying informed about best practices and the latest opportunities that can positively influence the business, such as advancements in AI.


• Identifying and cultivating partnerships and collaborative opportunities within the organization, with suppliers, stakeholders, and public and private sector entities to enhance the Solution Architecture, maximizing opportunities to deliver value to the organization.

Essential Skills Required:

Solutions Architecture expertise

SAP/ERP implementation experience (preferably BYD or S/4HANA)

Background in Transformation Delivery

High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) proficiency

Experience in delivering Systems Architecture Solutions
