Position: Solution Architect - Permanent Role

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to contribute to a significant Finance Transformation initiative as part of a comprehensive digital overhaul for a leading Global Services client.

Role Summary:

Our esteemed client is in search of a proficient SAP/ERP Solution Architect.

The SAP/ERP Solution Architect will be tasked with ensuring the effective, reliable, and repeatable deployment of SAP/ERP solutions that align with the requirements of business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include overseeing the solution architecture lifecycle, collaborating closely with Business, Enterprise, and Business architecture, as well as product management and analysis during the initial phases of the project.

Engagement in efforts to standardize Solution Architecture deliverables and actively participating in the Innovation & Technology Solution Design Review to offer design insights, timely reviews, and governance focused on progress (ensuring that any tactical technical debt is identified and addressed in business cases).

Involvement in defining solution and enterprise architecture principles, policies, standards, and patterns, ensuring that technology solutions adhere to established standards or that exceptions are justified when risk tolerance permits.

Acting as a champion for Innovation & Technology, the architect will engage with business partners to comprehend business needs and articulate solution designs that fulfill those needs while conforming to Enterprise Architecture standards.

Collaboration with team members to maintain comprehensive views of Architecture for Enterprise planning and exploration.

Translating Enterprise Architecture outputs such as Architecture Vision and Business Requirements into detailed High-Level and Low-Level solution designs.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership of the delivery of individual solution architecture initiatives.

Prioritizing tasks and deliverables to ensure timely output at the appropriate level.

Collaborating with selected partners during the design and execution of business technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

The following outlines the primary responsibilities associated with this role, which will be shared among the team, including permanent, contract, and outsourced positions:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of SAP/ERP architecture for various concurrent business projects.
  • Contribute to the standardization of the solution architecture capability, including documentation, principles, policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Adapt to an agile environment involving iterative architectural modifications.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the architectural patterns best suited for projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other Group functions to promote architecture reuse and best practices.
  • Guide and mentor fellow architects during periods of significant transformation.
  • Communicate clearly within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Document and secure stakeholder agreement on decisions, including buy vs. build considerations and early-phase project estimates that contribute to business cases.
  • Escalate architectural design challenges to stakeholders regarding potential alternative solutions.
  • Innovate by identifying technology opportunities to alleviate business challenges and initiate proof of concept activities to assess fit.
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging opportunities that could positively influence the business, such as advancements in AI.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships and collaborative opportunities within the organization, with suppliers, stakeholders, and public/private sector entities to enhance Solution Architecture and maximize value delivery.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in Solutions Architecture
  • Experience in SAP/ERP delivery (preferably BYD or S/4HANA)
  • Background in Transformation Delivery
  • Proficiency in High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD)
  • Experience in delivering Systems Architecture Solutions
