Senior SAP/ERP Solutions Architect - Permanent £85-£100k + Benefits

TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP/ERP Solutions Architect to contribute to a significant Finance Transformation initiative as part of a comprehensive digital overhaul for a prominent Global Services client.

Role Overview:

Our esteemed client is in search of a dedicated SAP/ERP Solutions Architect.

The SAP/ERP Solutions Architect will take charge of the successful, reliable, and repeatable deployment of SAP/ERP solutions that align with the requirements of business stakeholders.


• Assume responsibility for the solution architecture lifecycle, collaborating closely with Business, Enterprise, and Business architecture, product management, and analysis during the initial phases of the project.


• Engage in efforts to standardize the Solution Architecture deliverables and actively participate in the Innovation & Technology Solution Design Review, providing design insights, timely value-adding evaluations, and governance focused on progress (ensuring tactical technical debt is acknowledged and addressed in any business case).


• Contribute to the establishment of solution and enterprise architecture principles, policies, standards, and patterns. Ensure that technology solutions adhere to the mandated standards and patterns or that exceptions are appropriately addressed when risk tolerance permits.


• Act as an advocate for Innovation & Technology, collaborating with business colleagues to comprehend business needs and articulate solution designs that fulfill those needs while conforming to the Enterprise Architecture.


• Work alongside colleagues to maintain comprehensive views of Architecture for Enterprise planning and exploration.


• Translate Enterprise Architecture outputs such as Architecture Vision and Business Requirements into High- and Low-Level solution designs.


• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership and ensuring the delivery of individual solution architecture projects.


• Prioritize tasks and deliverables by producing outputs at the appropriate level and timing.

Collaborate with selected partners during the design and implementation of business technology solutions.

Core Responsibilities:


• Lead the delivery of SAP/ERP architecture for multiple concurrent business initiatives.


• Contribute to the standardization of the solution architecture capability, including documentation, principles, policies, standards, and methodologies.


• Demonstrate the ability to operate within an agile environment, involving iterative architectural changes.


• Make informed decisions regarding the architectural patterns most suitable for various projects.


• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other Group functions to ensure architecture reuse and adherence to best practices.


• Provide guidance and support to fellow architects during periods of significant transformation.


• Communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders.


• Document and secure stakeholder agreement on decisions, including buy vs. build considerations and early-phase project estimates that contribute to business cases.


• Escalate architectural design challenges to stakeholders concerning potential alternative solutions.


• Innovate and inspire by introducing technological opportunities to address business challenges, initiating proof of concept activities to assess fit.


• Stay informed about best practices and the latest opportunities that can positively influence the business, such as advancements in AI.


• Identify and cultivate partnerships and collaborative opportunities within the organization, suppliers, stakeholders, and public/private sector entities to enhance the Solution Architecture, maximizing opportunities to deliver value to the organization.

Essential Skills Required:

Solutions Architecture expertise

SAP/ERP delivery experience (preferably BYD or S/4Hana)

Background in Transformation Delivery

High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) experience

Proven track record in delivering Systems Architecture Solutions
