Senior Solutions Architect - Permanent £85-£100k + Benefits

TEKsystems is actively seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to spearhead a significant Finance Transformation initiative as part of a comprehensive digital overhaul for a prominent Global Services client.

Role Overview:

Our esteemed client, a leader in the global market, is in search of a SAP/ERP Architecture Specialist.

The SAP/ERP Architecture Specialist will take charge of ensuring the effective, reliable, and repeatable deployment of SAP/ERP solutions that align with the requirements of business stakeholders.


• Assume responsibility for the entire solution architecture lifecycle, collaborating closely with Business, Enterprise, and Business architecture, as well as product management and analysis during the initial phases of the project.


• Engage in efforts to standardize the Solution Architecture deliverables and play an active role in the Innovation & Technology Solution Design Review, providing design guidance, timely value-adding reviews, and governance focused on progress (ensuring that tactical technical debt is identified and addressed in any business case).


• Contribute to the establishment of solution and enterprise architecture principles, policies, standards, and patterns. Ensure that technology solutions adhere to the agreed-upon standards and patterns or that exceptions are appropriately managed when risk tolerance permits.


• Act as an advocate for Innovation & Technology, collaborating with business colleagues to comprehend business needs and articulate solution designs that fulfill those needs while conforming to the Enterprise Architecture.


• Work alongside colleagues to maintain comprehensive views of Architecture for Enterprise planning and discovery.


• Translate Enterprise Architecture outputs, such as Architecture Vision and Business Requirements, into High- and Low-Level solution designs.


• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, taking ownership and ensuring the successful delivery of individual solution architecture projects.


• Prioritize tasks and deliverables by producing outputs at the appropriate level and time.

Collaborate with selected partners during the design and implementation of business technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:


• Lead the delivery of SAP/ERP architecture for multiple concurrent business initiatives.


• Participate in the standardization of the solution architecture capability, including documentation, principles, policies, standards, and methodologies.


• Demonstrate the ability to work within an agile environment, adapting to iterative architectural changes.


• Make informed decisions regarding the architectural patterns best suited for various projects.


• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other Group functions to promote architecture reuse and best practices.


• Provide guidance and support to fellow architects during periods of significant transformation.


• Communicate effectively within the team and with stakeholders.


• Document and secure stakeholder agreement on decisions, including buy vs. build choices and early-phase project estimates that contribute to business cases.


• Escalate architectural design issues to stakeholders concerning potential alternative solutions.


• Foster innovation by identifying technological opportunities to address business challenges and initiate proof of concept activities to assess fit.


• Stay informed about best practices and emerging opportunities that can positively influence the business, such as advancements in AI.


• Identify and cultivate partnerships and collaborative opportunities within the organization, with suppliers, stakeholders, and both private and public sector entities to enhance the Solution Architecture and maximize value delivery to the organization.

Essential Skills Required:

Solutions Architecture

SAP/ERP delivery experience (preferably BYD or S/4Hana)

Transformation Delivery background

High-Level Design (HLD) / Low-Level Design (LLD)

Proven experience in delivering Systems Architecture Solutions
