About the Role:

We are in search of a seasoned and strategic ERP Transformation Programme Director to spearhead the global ERP transformation effort. This position is vital for ensuring the successful execution of the ERP program, which is a cornerstone of the company's broader digital transformation strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of leading extensive ERP implementations and substantial experience as a senior participant in digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Leadership:
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance for the entire ERP transformation initiative, ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching digital transformation objectives.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of the ERP program, overseeing scope, budget, timelines, and resources.
  • Lead a diverse team, including project managers, business analysts, IT professionals, and external vendors, to meet program goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with senior executives, including the CIO, CFO, and business unit leaders, to ensure alignment and support for the ERP transformation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all program-related communications, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ERP transformation strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and future growth.
  • Identify and address risks throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring that contingency plans are established to mitigate potential issues.
  • Ensure that the program delivers quantifiable business benefits, including process improvements, cost efficiencies, and enhanced data analytics capabilities.
  • Change Management:
  • Drive the change management strategy to facilitate successful adoption of the new ERP system across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and communication teams to design and implement training and communication strategies that support the transition to the new ERP system.
  • Address resistance to change by cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and oversee the program budget, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked, managed, and aligned with financial projections.
  • Provide financial oversight, including cost-benefit analysis, to ensure the program delivers value and meets ROI expectations.
  • Report on financial performance to senior management and the board, highlighting key financial metrics and any deviations from the plan.
  • Quality Assurance and Governance:
  • Establish robust program governance frameworks to ensure that all aspects of the ERP transformation are executed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the program.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and audits of program activities to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in IT or business transformation roles, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) within a global, multi-site organization.
  • Extensive experience as a senior stakeholder in digital transformation initiatives, with a comprehensive understanding of how ERP systems integrate with broader digital strategies.
  • Experience managing complex budgets, with a proven ability to deliver programs on schedule and within budget.

Technical Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, including their architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain as they pertain to ERP systems.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Outstanding leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in driving change management and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) are highly desirable.
